Cover for essay on Paul Snoek

While still a student, our daughter Sarah wrote a school treatise about a collection of poems by Paul Snoek, one of Belgium's most famous poets and prose writers.
She asked me to do the cover of the paper, which I gladly did. I made the drawing on her numerous instructions and it is full of references to the unique symbolism in Paul Snoek's collection of poems.

The split old tree, the lightning, the birds' nests, the sea and the clouds, the whirling snow, the poet himself
with the big ax and the half-full glass, the shot bird, the many molehills and mushrooms ...
all symbolism from Paul Snoek's poems.
